Wireback

WireBack is Enveloc’s unique system for creating Archive datasets that never change.

Using WireBack, users can specify any file, group of files, folder, or group of folders to be archived at any designated interval, from every 5 minutes to once a year. Compressed and fully encrypted with 256-bit AES encryption before they are ever transmitted, WireBacks can be stored indefinitely on Enveloc’s redundant servers or can be configured to expire at any time specified by the user.  LocalRemote users' local WireBacks are managed in the same way.

WireBacks offer a simple and automatic way to ‘snapshot’ particular files or folders at specific timeframes. WireBacks can be scheduled to run as often as every five minutes for keeping close records of rapidly changing transactional files or as seldom as annually to backup year-end accounting data.

WireBacks can also be set to archive only New or Changed files. In those instances, WireBack will only backup files that are new or changed since the last WireBack job was run. This lets the user have a serialized record of ongoing changes for a single folder without duplicating previously archived files, saving both storage space and cost.

For example, two WireBack jobs may be set to backup the same folder both quarterly and annually. The Quarterly WireBack job can be set to expire at the end of the year while the Annual WireBack job can be set to expire after six years. Users may specify as many WireBack jobs as desired and each job can refer to the same or different folders. WireBacks can also be stored locally on an attached storage device.
